Eid El Fitri: Senator-Elect, Rt. Hon. Darlington Nwokocha Felicitates Muslim Faithful
As Muslims across the world bask in the euphoria of the 2023 Eid El Fitri celebration; an event that marks the end of a month-long dawn-to-dusk fasting, the member representing the good people of Isiala Ngwa North and South Federal Constituency, and Senator-Elect for Abia Central senatorial district, the Rt. Hon. Darlington Nwokocha has felicitated the Muslim faithful in Nigeria, Abia state, and especially, those who live and operate their genuine businesses within the Abia Central Senatorial district.
The Senator-elect who, in his usual tradition of celebrating with Muslims in his country home, Umungalagu, during every end of the Ramadan fast, acknowledged the rare significance and import of the yearly spiritual exercise, particularly, as it always offers Muslims the golden opportunity to rededicate themselves to Allah, pray and commit our dear country and its myriad of socio-political and economic challenges to God, for a lasting solution.
He called on Muslim worshipers in Nigeria to effusively deepen their spiritual lives in consonance with the precepts of the Qur'an and in line with the teachings of Prophet Muhammad, in order to guarantee greater love, peaceful co-existence and support for one another, as well as patriotic and selfless service to our dear country, Nigeria, considering the obvious fact that it bleeds profusely from all openings, and direly deserves the best this time around, in terms of conscious, sincere and diligent handling by politicians, technocrats and other strata of trustees, especially, as the new political dispensation sets in from May, 2923.
He prayed for peace amongst all Nigerians, irrespective of obvious religious, ethnic, political and language diversities that exist amongst us, pointing out that we do not have any other country beside that in which we find ourselves, and wished the Muslim faithful a happy and eventful Eid El Fitri celebration.
