DO YOUR CAMPAIGN WITH DECORUM.
As the campaign for the forthcoming election becomes more and more intense both on ground and on social media, it has become extremely important and necessary to remind our youths about some important facts they either neglect or they don't know.
1. No campaign is worth your life and blood. Avoid violent campaigns.
2. No responsible elder or political principals will keep mute while you endanger your life campaigning for them. If they keep mute on this, they don't love you.
3. If you die in political violence, we will honour you with one minute silence, maybe your principal will attend your burial in order to gather more political supporters on your burial day, and give your family 20k plus a promise of scholarship for your dependents, which they will not fulfill. Life will continue, chatting will continue.
4. Avoid foul language and hate peddling in your social media engagements. Indeed you must realise that life doesn't end with this campaign. We share a common humanity and common homeland and we shall always meet again. Better to meet again as friends rather than foes. Do not be that youth that will be reminded of the insults he dished out today anytime in future when you need someone's help.
5. Whether your principal wins or loses, it is not final. No victory is final and no loss is final. Do not lose friends because of political campaign.
6. Avoid lies and mudslinging. If you're reputed for that style of campaign, the person you're campaigning for will never recommend you for appointments or employment in responsible positions. He knows what you're capable of doing and will reserve you for the same role in the next election. Little wonder why many of our youths don't make it beyond the position of ward youth leader. That campaign style depreciates your humanity and converts you to a lower animal. You remain a professional political thug and lout. Sorry, even lower animals don't tell lies.
If only you would listen and learn, we can all finish this campaign and still have handshakes as real friends. ..Remember the seed you sow today you will reap tomorrow. ..money is good let it not cost your life. ..
