Nwora meets Stakeholders in Onitsha
A teacher and philanthropist , Mr. Tony Nwora yesterday met with stakeholders in Onitsha North L.G.A of Anambra state to seek their blessings and support for his Political ambition.
The gathering was a convergence of political leaders and party faithful of All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) in the local government area.
In his address, Mr. Nwora disclosed his intention and interest to seek the people's mandate and represent them in the State Assembly.
He noted that he joined APGA in the year 2011 and since then he has continued to contribute positively to the party.
He added that his support and allegiance to the Obiano's government is unaltered, hence, his decision to join the legislative arm of government in order to be able to make favourable laws that will better the lives of the people in the state.
According to Nworah, this is the time we should come out and join hands to elect people with: Vision and Think Home Philosophy to ensure the Change we clamour for".
He stressed that, "it always hurts him whenever he sees the youths instead of being empowered, given scholarships to further education, but rather are used as thugs by unscrupulous politicians to achieve their bad political purposes.
Nwora added that, "it is not all about getting elected into the House of Assembly or been in government", "it is about knowing one's duties as a law maker, making laws for the betterment of the people" which is his primary aim.
Hon Nwora called on the indigines and non-indigines alike, to join hands to build A Better and Greater Onitsha to consolidate the Vision and achievements of our dearest workaholic Governor, Chief Willie Obiano.
In response to Mr. Tony Nwora's address, the Chairman Ward 3, Hon. Chinyelugo, speaking at the gathering, thanked Mr. Nworah for the trust he had in the leadership of the APGA in his constituency while assuring him of their total support.
Similarly, Hon. Chudi Enebeli, the youth leader ward 3, appreciated Mr Nworah's philanthropic gestures and achieviements while further describing him as a man of humility and a grassroot to the core.
Hon. Uzoechina Ojilinnaka the LGA rep, speaking at the occasion appreciated the ward leaders for coming out en mass to lend their unflinching support emphasized that ward 3 have been producing quality and vocal representatives and as such encourage them to support the man driven by a vision to represent for the betterment of the people and Onitsha.
He therefore encouraged them to spread the good news of the new Onitsha spirit by Hon Nwora to their constituents.
Mrs Gbosa one of the women leaders, encouraged the aspirant to make laws that will ameliorate the sufferings of the common man and enjoined all the leaders to give their undying support to the aspirant.
Dignitaries present at the occasion were: the ward Chairmen, ward secretaries women leaders, youths leaders, political appointees as well as the Special guest, Hon. Melie Onyejepu ,S.A to the Governor on Budget.
